| PRESS
CONFERENCE |
| July
18th, 2008.
On July 17th, 2008, "Hajde da..." Group has organized
the launching event for the "Organizing and Realizing
Capacity Building Activities for Youth NGOs" project.
This press conference was organized in cooperation with NGO
"Protekta" from Nis and Centre for Youth Work from
Novi Sad, and was financially supported by Ministry of Youth
and Sports of Republic of Serbia. It took place in Belgrade
Media Centre, and was attended by Ms. Snezana Klasnja on behalf
of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ms. Suzana Krstic from "Hajde
da..." Group, as well as representatives of youth NGOs
and media.
The aforementioned project aims to empower representatives
of youth NGOs and build their capacities to manage projects,
in order to secure better implementation of National Youth
Strategy on local level. Final goal is to motivate youngsters
to undertake actions that would improve their and their peer’s
situation in Serbia.
"Organizing and Realizing Capacity Building Activities
for Youth NGOs" project targets primarily youth NGOs
all over Serbia, that want to gain new knowledge in project
proposal writing and managing their own projects for young
people in their local communities. The first phase of the
project concerns trainings in project management cycle, meant
for representatives of youth NGOs; this is to be followed
by them submitting proposals to Ministry of Youth and Sports.
In the project implementation phase, those organizations whose
proposals happen to be granted, will have continuous support
by more experienced organizations.
The task of supervising and supporting youth NGOs’
projects in the realization phase is to be divided on the
regional principle – between "Hajde da..."
Group and its partner organizations: NGO "Protekta"
from Nis and Centre for Youth Work from Novi Sad. All the
training courses will be delivered by trainers from "Hajde
da…" Group’s Pool of Trainers, who have great
experience in this field (both in education and the very practice).
Partner organizations, being located in Vojvodina i.e. Southern
Serbia, will act as mentors to the organizations from their
respective regions, during the project implementation phase.

BODY FRAME – CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS |
| June
27th, 2008.
"Hajde da..."
Group, in cooperation with artists in the field of contemporary
dance, as well as associations of people with disabilities,
initiates the unique dancing project.
Title of the project – Body
Frame – came out from the idea of reconsidering
our perception of our own body, through creative movement
and artistic dance. The project comprises three cycles of
creative workshops, that are to happen during summertime;
on these sessions, we are to explore contemporary dance together,
as well as various possibilities to express ourselves through
movement and dancing.
The final goal is not to learn a choreography,
but to create a dance through the group work process. Contemporary
theatre and dance are not pre-determined by certain forms
and given elements (as it is the case with standard dances
or classical ballet). That is why participating in this kind
of projects is a space for self-discovering, learning about
you yourself and the others, exploring your boundaries and
moving barriers that inhibit us. The only condition is to
be honest, involved, persistent and love everything that both
moves and speaks!
The workshops are primarily meant for contemporary
dancers and people with disabilities. After this project phase
is over, participants will – together with choreographers
– decide who amongst them will continue creating a professional
dancing performance.
Workshops
will take place at:
• Workshops for wheel-chair
users, choreographers and dancers – July 14th-21st.
Deadline for sending applications: July 11th.

Models for Establishing a Youth Office |
| April, 22nd 2008.
"Hajde
da…" Group, together with Ministry
of Youth and Sports of Republic of Serbia, has organized
a Seminar on "Models
of Establishing a Youth Office". The Seminar took
place on April 21st, 2008,
in Ministry of Youth and Sports premises.
This Seminar is a part of the first phase of project entitled
"Youth Offices – Pillars of Active Citizenship
and Youth Participation" that was financially supported
by Olof Palme International Centre and SIDA.
Main purpose of this project is developing
a model of a local youth office that will – in
an institutional and sustainable way – support active
citizenship and implementation of National Youth Policy, on
local level. Thus, young people will be empowered to take
an active role in development of their local communities,
and, at the same time, local authorities will be encouraged
to be open and responsive to needs, problems and ideas of
the young.
An introductory speech to the Seminar "Models of Establishing
a Youth Office" was given by Ms. Ivana Kovacevic, Assistant
to Minister of Youth and Sports. Other speakers, who have
also contributed with their inputs, were:
• Mr. Aleksandar Jovanovic, member of Youth Council
within Council of Europe
• Mr. Duncan Dunlop, MA in Community Youth Work
• Ms. Ivana Vujic, on behalf of Ministry of Youth and
Sports
• Mr. Nenad Maletin, Coordinator of Youth Office in
Pancevo
• Mr. Srdjan Mitrovic, Coordinator of Contact Point
for European Commission’s "Youth in Action"
Programme in Serbia
Seminar was attended by representatives of all stakeholder
groups (Ministry of Youth and Sports, local governments, youth
offices, CSOs, youngsters, youth policy experts). They jointly
tried to develop model of a youth office and list out recommendations
on what kind of model would be the most adequate for Serbia.
These recommendations, as well as the other outputs from this
Seminar, will be used to create a publication, that will be
distributed to municipalities across Serbia.
Project is financially supported by Olof Palme International
Centre and SIDA.
